reducing scrap generated by 2 Dimensional Rectangular cutting (Guillotine cutting or shearing) processes. It finds

Version: 4.7.9I am looking for a product similar to Glass Cutting in order to do upholstery calculations. What I would prefer is purchasing the background code which calculates the best layout and therefore the least amount of material required. I would then integrate this into an application based on ASP.net. If anyone knows where this code is available I would appreciate their assistance.

Version: 4.7.9Having trialed this software it does a fantastic job for rectangular "sheet chopping". One nice feature is that if you have your order requirement and add in some ongoing standard sizes, using the scrap from the order if there is any. Simply use the min/max feature, setting your min requirement for your standard pieces to zero and a high max number. You get great optimisation. Unfortunately the nesting of "profile" pieces seems dismal. It imports non standard shapes with ease, but fails to perform with the shapes we have put in . . .and they are not difficult shapes. Go for it if you want a sheet chopping program. Keep clear if you want a non standard shape optimiser.Know of a better one? let me know . ."steve-morris.trinity@virgin.net"
