It does not work for my Vista computer.
Yes and no. The installer does not work right for Vista. The program itself is fine.

Version: 3.0Speech feature is funny but useless (unless you have bad sight). It's a good program.
Two features that are not well implemented are:
- the auto-notification. It should be imbedded in the program like icq. (or like Intranet Chat)
- closing down Windows (Win2k) shows an question if it's ok to close x Chat free. Well Duh. That should be better implemented (and option close=minimize for instance).
But it's free so I'm not complaining.
It is true that speech feature is actually requested by a user who need to communicate with a friend with visual difficult. It is an optional feature that can be turn off.
I agree that the close button of many other programs is to minimize. However, since there is already a minimize button, close button should not be the same as minimize button. Sorry for your confusion.
Close confirmation can also be turn off.
