RapidSketch is the fastest and easiest to learn software for creating accurate floor plan layouts. I'm currentley involved helping an insulation company to streamline their recon activity for retro fitting older houses with insulation solutions.
Staff involved in recon need to draw accurate floor plans and add symbols and notes detailing hazards and other essential information for the work teams who will shortly follow to complete the installs.
To this end we are currently trialing Rapid Sketch to help. So far Rapid Sketch is nearly perfect for our activities, features such as automatic area calculation/display, the ability to draw curves and create our own symbols are proving invaluable in our trials so far.
The only suggestions I have so far are as follows.
Printing, being able to have more control over the scale of the sketch in the printing stage wold be very helpfull.
Graphics, being able to draw/colour/edit lines and shapes for purely graphic reasons would also be very helpful for us.
Tables, adding external tables such as Excel etc is a bit of a big ask I guess but I find it on my wish list.
