Web Stream Recorder Pro effectively solves two main problems that emerge when you
attempt to save video/audio streams: intercepting the source address and saving the
stream to the disk.
You can try to save multimedia data without using Web Stream Recorder Pro, but you will
have to find out the source URL yourself and to try to save this stream to the disk using
a regular download manager. Usually, it is very difficult to find out the URL. And, if
the data stream is not a stream-on-demand, but a "live" stream, you will not be able to
cope without our program.
Web Stream Recorder Pro can save Windows Media Audio/Video streams (files with the
extensions ASF, WMA, WMV, WMX, NSC, WAX) and Shoutcast streams (files with the extension
MP3).

Installation of Web Stream Recorder Pro failed whilst installing wsrecorderpro.exe.
Windows XP Pro SP2 complained about a WinPcap version 4.0.0.901 being
newer than that to be installed version, thereby not finishing the installation.
Odd affect, After partial install, Windows Explorer could only operate at a snail's pace,loss of functionality.
Windows XP needed to have WinPcap removed the registry cleaned along with replacing odd windows system files that were changed during partial install.
Finally, required a 'system restore' to an earlier date, this returned Windows XP to a pristine condition.
Event Viewer revealed... Application Error
Faulting application wsr2007.exe, version 1.0.0.0, faulting module wsr2007.exe, version 1.0.0.0, fault address 0x0000466a. Event ID 1000, appears to be a clash with 3rd party application/s. This may have been with WinPcap.
Is there a MS Hotfix applicable for MS Windows XP Pro SP2?
