There are a lot of movie players out there, but Video Randomizer is
special. If you have a large collection of AVI and MPEG movie files then
Video Randomizer allows you to play back a constant stream of random movie
fragments, ranging from 1 second to 5 minutes in length, adjustable by the
user. It doesn't just randomizea list of movies, it actually plays back
random parts of movies.

And as an added feature it allows you to mix in JPEG images as well.
For instance, you could configure it to play back random 30 second movie
fragments that end with five seconds of random jpeg images.

Useful for creating multi-media montages, adds new life to a large collection
of videos and pictures.

Sorry, the program was not to my liking

numerous issues: uses it's own viewer which does NOT keep aspect ration. changed to use OTHER viewer and it messup up my video resolution until i rebooted. NO options to modify length of Randomizing time. does NOT even keep video location... everytime you use it you have to reselect folder to use. not worth the bother. great idea, just not quite ready for primeTime release.

Long Periods of ramdom play wanted

Hello

I would love to have a program that can play random segments of video from a folder or folders. This random video players play very short segments of a video, which is good for bars and things like that.

But it would be ABSOLUTELY great if it could SELECT a random movie file and play the movie starting from a RANDOM point in the movie UP TO THE END.

In this way the user would have a TV simulator.

Why the need of a TV simulator? Well I find that usually, I can watch a movie on TV confortably even if it has already started. Even if I have seen the movie already, and most importantly, even if I have it on my hard drive.

But the thing is that when I go through my list of movies in my hard drive I find them all .... "have seen them already" and dont select any of them.

So this is a strange phenomenon: I dont want to watch it from the beginning, but I would watch it on TV channel! Strange but true.

I have not found any software capable of doing it, and frankly I am interested in developing it, but, since there s already a video ramdomizer that is closed to it ... then I might just suggest this feature and wait for someone to do it!
