Can't get DHTML menu to work with my Dreamweaver version 8.

It is a nice tool for Free menu creation. Easy to use.Very Very Good.

The interface was pretty cool, I wound up hardcoding some colors because I didnt realize that I was able to change the menu item's background until I just toyed with it. Would be nicer if the child menu item would inherit the same colors as the mother's instead of having to change each one independently. If they're all going to be the same color like mine is then for speed and perfection it's best to do a find and replace in the code once you have the hex code of your color.
It would be great to be able to resize the menu to add small graphics for each top menu, example place a graphical forum button which would then lead to the forum links with the same color background as the main button.
It was really easy to add links and the tooltips are a nice feature so you can briefly describe the links. So the ease of use is excellent.
As for the price, which is free, it is a great value and allowed me to effortlessly make almost what I wanted, despite having to tweak it here and there.
Additional thoughts:
You really need to know at least basic HTML to get it looking just right with no off color mistakes. If you have to host the files off-site or in different directory like I did for drunkduck then you have to dip into the html and define them or you will get ugly boxes.

I tried several other similar applications, including demos of some fairly expense packages. Sothink worked just as well and was easier to use than the others. I am not a professional web designer, so this was a great solution for me to solve a problem I was having. I work within a template structure that is fairly restrictive so the ability to create menus saves a whole bunch of space on the screen.
Some of the other software I tried out produced really amateurish looking menus. While I would love to see even more templates with more sophisticated looks and feels, for the price, Sothink is terrific.

I was up and running with little ramp up time and no need to consult the help manual. I created functional menus that significantly simplified our site by compressing a long menu list to a short one with pop-up choices.

First of all i would like to pay cangartulation to Sothink DHTML Menu Builde team on presenting such a wounderfull and excellent software and off course free of cost obviously a realy big advantage.
The other thing is, the interface and usage of softaware is so easy that it has made the building of Menu a finger tip for dummies to professionals.
Thanks & Regards

I am not sure about using DHTML - i don't want to limit the users who can view my menus due to company restrictions etc on ActiveX controls

I am very impressed with this program especially it's functionality and meriods of different options. Especially it being free!
One thing I have noticed is that when one save an "Item Theme" and then later go and updated or make a change/edit the theme, for some reason, the change is not reflected in the buttons that has already got that theme applied.
Apart from that, I am very satisfied with the quality of this program.
Great Job!
Thanks

This version would not entice me to purchase a version because it would not function. Every time I finished designing a menu and clicked OK, it created an error message and would not build the menu.

Allowed me to estimate quickly the demo of the different menu options and layouts to the end user. The features in the Free version were adequate for my needs.

I found this one of the easiest to use of the three I tried - not only that, it blended very well for insertion into FrontPage - two clicks and I can insert the created menu on any new page.
I was looking for an easy way to create and insert a menu that didn't clutter up my webpages - this software resolved that issue very much to my liking.
Very useful piece of software. Thanks very much!

Very good quality software to build menus for websites.

The menu builder is fantastic! It solved my problem about a menu.
Thank you.

This builder is a quite good one. Easy to use, you can have as many levels as you need, and easy to install on your webpage.
Maybe a bit confusing in the beginning to understand that the headmenus on your page is the first submenu in the program, but after you understand that it's ok.
Too bad you couldn't save background pictures in your default template, but hey, you can't get everything on a free version. I do recommend it, it made my job so much easier than to sit in all codes and do it myself.

Made my life so much easier. Bbest tool ever. Needed a horizontal drop down menu and had no idea how to start. Program did it all for me!

I've been trying to find a place to create a menu for my school's website. I finally found one that will work and I could use. I spent more than a week searching and trying out menus. Thank you very much. I didn't have any money to spend so I had to find a free one.
Only one problem I have is that after putting it in our website, I can't see it in FrontPage. It is only visible after I publish it to the site. If you care to see what I created, go to http://www.davenportschools.org/west/
Any suggestions to that problem? Thanks again!!

Great menu builder & easy to use

Find menu builder easy to use, but not all questions are answered.
It does everything I need it to do but I am not sure if it is search engine friendly

I was surprised with all the features included in the free version of Sothink DHTML Menu Builder -- being able to add icons to menu items, having a lot of CSS-like control over menu attributes (i.e. border, background images, alignment, etc.). Other programs on the web will cost you and provide fewer features. But I will say that I would have preferred cross-browser uniformity in the free version over some of the other advanced features -- the fact is that the cursor doesn't change in Firefox or Opera when hovering over a link. Also, modifying the code of the menu will be confusing for beginners, given the comment-style code that it generates. All in all, I highly recommend this to every one.

Very beautiful, and easy to use.
