Excellent. Let's have more of this type of software - simple and effective.

Was not impressed - whenever I tried to save my trimmed file it stalled about 30-50% of the way through.

Was confused at first, but then realized it worked within another program, windows media player, and from there it was easy to cut parts from the video i didnt want. Very easy, and just what I needed.

The SolveigMM AVI Trimmer is great. It does exactly what the name implies, with absolute ease. The interface is well thought out, and is easy to follow. Editing with this programme is a pleasure, and not a chour. It is excellent value, being freeware. It would still be great value if it were share ware. Congratulations to the creator(s).

I uninstalled it because I dont like the idea of being decieved in to thinking it was a free program untill after install and run it.

Quality tool that does the job nicely. Integrates well with Media player or as a standalone tool.

Works GREAT. I have a couple of fancy [hundreds of mb .exe] photo editor programs that handle video too. Whenever I edit a .avi, they loose the sync. Solveig does the job w/o fail. Thanks.

The AVI Trimmer software is really good and one of the best AVI trimmer software. Hats off for making such a good software.

I have another feedback on the AVI Video Joiner Software(Shareware). The software has defects as i tried joining AVI clips and the final clip second part was shimmering after the join was done. Also it lacks joining different formats of AVI. Please look into it as it might impact the overall image of software. I have to uninstall the shareware after the results.

Will the app convert the. Mod files that come off jvc solid state cam corder to avi please?
As far as I can tell it's a package like avi or mov and has an mpeg2 stream with audio in ac3 codec.

I was after an app to cut a a large avi into something more managable. I downloaded AVI trimmer and found it easy to use and completed my task within minutes. Thanks.

For first time difficult to edit and documentation not very explainable, but after few attempt possible to work.

This application is doing exactly what I want; Trim and cut chunks out of a video file, easily without any re-encoding. Very easy to use. Good UI.

I needed to send an .AVI file to my sister on Yousendit.com but my file was too big. So I found your tool and quickly figured out how to use it.

The only thing I found difficult was having to save my file as a new name and then edit it. I kept trimming my file and then trying to save it as something different, but would instead overwrite my current file.

If I start using it for work, I will pay for the upgraded version. Thanks again.

Whilst straightforward to use as a plug in for Windows Media Player, I could not avoid getting severe sync problems, even on the short clips allowed in the free to try version. As such it was therefore useless for the task intended of losslessy trimming material from wmv files.

I did not try the avi, main program, as it was specifically trimming wmv's without recoding that I was requiring.

I was immediately able to edit two AVIs to just the section I wanted. It was immediately obvious what to do - except the Run button should really say Save :-). Apart from that, it was far more intuitive than 99% of what's out there. I would very much like to be able to use the Add function with different AVI files to combine sections from different files. It seemed that the items in the Add list were cleared when selecting a new source file. Maybe there is a way to do this - I got the results I needed but will try again later.

It seemed to work very well but the end result had the video and audio out of synch, but I was cutting an odd file with a strange audio codec.

Before finding this I was messing with codecs and recompressing endlessly. This little (Free!!) program is perfect for cutting segments of AVI and a snap to use. Look no further!

You can see the video playback and mark where you want to make your cuts, or just input the times (down to the millisecond!) click "Add" and "Run" to save the new AVI - quality unaltered. A million thanks for this!

One thing to note, when specifying where to make your cuts, subtract a sec or two from the beginning time desired, it saves it with a couple of seconds extra at the front for safety. ;)

I used it to edit my avi videos. I wanted to cut the begginning 4 seconds. It showed that the start time is set as I wanted but after saving the video it was exactly the same as it was earlier.
