Wish there was some way to paste in a key to be checked against the hash generated from the file. I am sometimes prone to error when I compare hashes by eye to verify integrity.

Downloading multiple types of programs and files from the internet and even across my home and work networks require the accurate handling of files and this is the easiest program I have found to get several types of checks either to find on my files or to check the different ones I move and download
IAMAS (I am not a statistician) - It was a dark and lonely night when my HP printing monitor annouce that there were some updates that should be installed. Somehat peevishly, since I was just trying to finish the job at hand, I realized that this was simply another istantiation of the rule that there really was no such thing as a simple job, and that the AXIOMATIC rules of the universe dictated you always have at least one other tangential task to complete, in order to do whatever it is you're trying to accomplsish... Admittedly, my use of the Hash 1.0 calculator application has been run against only a few files, so the statistical sample depth is modest at best. That said, Hash 1.0 worked very nicely in calculating the hash values of some files, including some update printer drivers I downloaded from HP and needed the SHA-256 values to verify them. Forces of the univers? Pah! Nice job!
