OK, a little pricy. What more can you say.
While reinstalling a Microsoft Vista Image backup made with MS Vista, he asks me "should I bring the disk back in it's original partioned position"? I guessed he only meant the c:/ drive, but the restore disk deleted everything on the d:/ partition too! 250 gb of data was lost!(it was not really a partition but an Raid Array, I had 2 Arrays, one for the OS c:/ and one for data files d:/, a Matrix Raid with 2 disks)
So I started to Google, and dl me some programs to try to recover the data back from the formatted Array. The first I tried was Optimum Data Recovery (NTFS Formatted) and it was amazing! After a short while te program could let me see witch files can be recovered, and it turns out that I was able to recover about 190 gb of the 250 gb by copying it to another drive. I give the other (expensive) programs I try also, running in demo mode, but none of them could do what Optimum Data Recovery (NTFS Formatted) could do, they came up with only a few gb's to recover, not worth to pay for in my opinion.
So I finally recoverd 190 gb of 250 gb, and that makes me very happy :)
One remark on the interface : When you start browsing in the other folders that are waiting for recovering while the program is bizzy to recovering some specific folder by copying the files, the program stops with that folder, it took some time to realize that and it has made me do the recovering procedure twice to be sure everything is recoverd in that folder en it is not stopped by browsing some other folder.
It would be better when the dialog (recovering.) is op, the rest of the interface would be inaccesable.
Anyway, I thank you very much for this free program, the best en the easyest to use, I would recommend it to anyone!
