SoundTap lets you record just about any audio that plays through your Windows computer including streaming radio, VoIP calls and Instant Messaging conversations. Simply install this software, turn it on and then all sound played on or through the PC will be recorded as wav or mp3 files. All audio is 'tapped' by a virtual driver directly within the kernel so the process is perfect digital quality.
Typical application of this stream ripper are:

I declined to purchase the system because it was a little pricey from me as a college student right now. I was pleased with its performance though

Works like a charme, was looking for a program that could capture sound/audio from mozilla firefox. I already installed like 10 different applications but they all didn't worked, at least not easily. SoundTap doesn't work on my Vista 64 bits though, but i have a windows xp 32 bits laptop which i installed it on. It installs a second audio driver and sets that as the default for xp. then all audio you play will just be captured by this device. You can then export it to a wave file. Excactly the program i was looking for :)
