Morgan M-JPEG2000 codec is a Windows Motion JPEG2000 video codec. JPEG2000 is the new international standard for image compression method and file format. This is the successor of the well-known traditional JPEG written by the ISO group Joint Photographic Experts Group. Contrary to the technology JPEG which used DCT functions, JPEG2000 technology is based on an mathematical algorithm called wavelets to compress image that provides high compression with image quality superior to all existing standard encoding techniques even at low bit rates. That’s the reason why JPEG2000 has a number of advantages over the JPEG Format

Hi there .. oh and happy xmas / new year 2008.
I was in a kinda hurry to convert a movie to a format that would run on a kodak "digital picture frame" that I bought my 82 year old mom for xmas. An old 20 seconds worth of 8mm cine movie dating back to the early 60's, that I'd had converted to video and then to dvd. After tring a couple of M-PEG4's without sucecss I thought I'd try a movie I'd done on my Fuji digital camera. It suceeded, so I checked what codec that movie was using and discovered MJPEG. I needed a utility quick, with 8 hours already spent scanning on B&W of my moms family and little pressie wrapping time left, I did a seach on google and came across your product which did the trick with no problem what so ever. I didn't have a need to do anything fancy regarding resolution or quality due to the medium I was playing this old B&W movie back to.
