JScreenFix 1
JScreenFix is a Java applet and Java webstart application that helps re-energise stuck pixels and remove burn-in on LCD and plasma screens by randomly switching on and off red, green and blue colour cells very rapidly.

A stuck pixel is a point on a screen that does not display the correct colour. Stuck pixels are fairly common on high resolution LCD screens. Stuck pixels sometimes start working again with time unless they appear black on a white background, these are known as dead pixels.

JScreenFix will help re-energise stuck pixels on LCD screens in less than one hour.

Plasma screens suffer terrible burn-in if an area of the screen does not change for a long period of time. Patterns on such areas will still be noticeable when new images are displayed. For TV input, channel logos often burn into the screen. For digital signage systems, the problem can be even more severe where words can still be read months after they were originally displayed. Image persistence has also been known to effect LCD screens.

JScreenFix has been proven to remove burnt in areas in between 6 and 48 hours.

Unlike other solutions, JScreenFix works on each colour cell individually in an un-coordinated fashion which means it is less stressful on the screen's power circuitry and far less likely to cause photosensitive epilepsy.

JScreenFix does not require installation and will run on Windows, Linux and Mac computers.

I can’t believe my eyes! It works!!!
I had a stuck pixel, green brilliant, on my new monitor, but I did not want dispute with my vendor.
I left for two days JscreenFix running, and I noticed that the pixel had become a very little dot, and also less luminous.
At this point, I took courage and with the tip of a pencil, wrapped in a soft cloth, I’ve pressed the screen.
For a few times the stuck pixel disappeared and reappeared after some seconds, then to another attempt it definitively disappeared.
For security, I left JscreenFix running for another night.
ALL OK!!!
I don’t know how to thank everybody you.

To my disappointment, I discovered that after a relatively short span of time, my 47" LCD monitor developed some burn-in which apparently was the result of the side-bar lines/spaces that border the image on non-HD channels.I sought help on-line and was led to JScreenFix. I moved my computer up close to the entertainment center and used the VGA input on the monitor to run the JScreenFix applet. It did not remove the burn-in at first, but after I put a pure white image on the monitor screen for several hours, I ran JScreen Fix again. This time I did notice a difference. Although the burn-in lines are still slightly visible, the over image quality has been improved.

I tried to fix a dead pixel on my new Lenovo laptop, but it didn't seem to work out. I used the program for about 30 minutes but the pixel is still dead.

Bought a new Gateway FHD2400 Had one 'stuck' pixel (red on black screen). Ran JScreen Fix overnight did not rid the display of the stuck pixel, but I did return display and got a new one with no bad pixels. It's always worth a try to fix something, especially when it's this easy.

I had screenburn on an older goodmans lcd fell asleep watching dvd and menu left on repeat for a few.
Hours. I have used a similar thing in the past for dead pixels on other lcd's but this seemed to work faster.
Although it is a different fault. Two sessions between 4 and 5 hours got rid with only a slight improvement.
After first session so don't give up and think it's not working it probably will.

Bought a brand new ACER 19" LCD display. Took it home, unpacked it, and set it up on my 8800GT. To my dismay there were 2 stuck pixels, one on the left side and one in the centre. I called ACER only to be told that unless I had 5 pixels or more they would not replace the monitor, no matter how new it was... 5 pixel policy. After doing some research on the net, I came upon JScreenFix. The fact that they said it would repair stuck pixels in 20 minutes and burned screens in 24 hours had me quite excited and less depressed.
I ran the program for 20 minutes, only to find the blue shining pixels still stuck and irritatingly staring at me. I then ran the program for 12 more hours and thereafter for another 24 hours. To my great dismay, the two pixels still loom triumphant. I am therefore disapointed in the program, but more so with the fact that large companies such as ACER arne't willing to swap a damaged product, even a brand new one. It just makes one feel cheated to pay good money for damaged goods. Nuf said...

A month ago I bought a Panasonic plama tv. The tv is great, but burn-in is still a problem with plasma tv's. I was looking on the internet for a program that could help. Then I found jscreenfix and it works very good. When ever I have a burn-in I select the program and after 1 min. it is gone.

Jscreenfix worked well enough FOR a WHILE! All in all it did fix my stuck pixles after about a total of four hours, not complaining it was a free program but after that some pixles were stuck again. Once again not a problem just ran the program again. After a while I just started runing the program as part of maintenance. Than one day the program stoped starting up. Error starting java applet. Replaced java no luck. Looked for support found none. Oh well it did work for a while and my Dell 1907fp LOOKS 1000 percent better. If I get more stuck pixles i'll try to fix it than. Maybe they'll have support by than.

I have only one black or grey pixel. I ran the program for several hours but didn't see any change in the pixel. Perhaps it's truly "burned out". Any ideas?

I just downloaded the software and the file came in as a .jnlp format.

I'm not sure what to do with this type of file -- and once I figure that out, how do I get it from the computer onto the TV set?

Thanks in advance

So I was watching a DVD on my 42" Samsung Plasma, and fell asleep. I woke up the next morning to find that the DVD had been sitting on the title menu for almost 6 hours, causing horrible burn-in. I tried to continue to watch my tv, thinking that more use would make it go away, but it didn't. I finally decided to search the web for possible fixes and came across JScreenFix. I ran it on my tv for about 6 hours, and it significantly reduced the burn in. I ran it for another 6 hours and the burn in was gone! Thanks for a great little program, and for making it available for free. Definitely works.

I had one blue dot that was only visible on a dark background. It was about the size of a needle point, but I could see it on a black background very clearly. I tried using jscreenfixx. I ran it for about an hour and to no success. I ran it for an additional 20 minutes and gave up. I took the monitor back to best buy and they gave me a new one with no blue dot. No problems. The concept sounds good and I will try it again with any problems that arise in the future
