We'll be honest with you. ActionOutline IS NOT for everyone. Yes, ActionOutline is "the best and most useful of the 2 pane outliners" (Duncan MacDonnald), and yes, editors go crazy over it (just read ZDNET, Sunday Times, DirtSmart and BetaBytes). It is also true that the program costs almost forty bucks, while there are hundreds of lookalikes priced 14. 95 USD or even less. But with 95% of ActionOutline buyers using the program every day and almost 100% satisfaction rate, we are not afraid to compete. There is not a single major organizer and PIM review source (that's the ones with at least 1000 visitors a day) that does not have ActionOutline listed. John Buckman has been reviewing organizers since 1994; http://john.redmood.com/organizers.html is the oldest Net organizer/note taker/PIM review resource on the Net. After trying hundreds of titles, the reviewers found no reason to change opinion about ActionOutline: "Action Outline has most elegant GUI (RISC rather than CISC), low RAM use (<3Mb), very stable (has never crashed in about 3 years resident use) … excellent as resident note taker, to-do, and address database for frequent contacts… Fast though simple searching; hyperlinks to files, internet, telephone, email, etc; it lives happily in the system tray." Steve Pavlina of Dexterity.Com (some call him the Bill Gates of shareware games) thinks every software developer should have one. But the best authority on the subject is YOU. You can download and try ActionOutline totally free.

I would like to write few words about this program because I am the man who is a time management related. I am not saying this program fully solves all your tasks and problems. But it does one thing thing very well - it helps to structure all your actions that you need.
This is possible because this program builds your task or action in a tree view. The child items count is unlimited (at least I didn't notice something like that).
The program allows you to tune an appearance of it's main window, fonts are also changeable.
Any tree or sub-tree is expandable or collapsable. Any item is possible to move to another tree, change the order of many items relatively of each other.
All structurized actions are saved and stored.
Get it and try it. Don't forget - Steve Pavlina uses this program too :).

Organize your thoughts. QuickNotes manages several "notes" or "topics" in a single file database. QuickNotes allows you to embed media files directly into the note text; it will all be saved together inside the database file. To make a link to another note simply double click a word. If a note already exists, a link to the existing note will be created. Useful to anyone who has to keep topical information organized in a format.

Zoom information to organize and manage it. InfoZoomer usage is similar to flying over a huge desktop where you can place your data (notes, links, images, etc) in any order and comfortably operate it by mouse. Due to a zooming representation of data the InfoZoomer is a very handy way to keep track of all details that constituted your information entourage such as notes, tasks, contact info, file shortcuts, Web-links, images, reminders, etc
