I use Fastream NETFile FTP/Web Server to move large amount of files easy and fast from one computer to another. To fast and easy setup a private ftpserver this was a good program. 1,5 minutes then the first file was transfered. I like it. I have not test the http but if FTP is easy to set up wy not the http.
