Clone will not clone a clone. I clone a c: drive to d: drive. Then I booted from d: drive and removed clone software.
Then I cloned e: drive from d: drive.
E: drive wont boot.
You have a great product it seems to do what it is expected to do without fuss, you have also resisted the inclusion of "extras" which only increase file size, and the hardware requirements, as well as the time needed to load and execute.
My only real problem is that I use your product on a laptop and the touch pad does not seem to function with it. The use of the tab key got me round that little inconvenience.
I did however make a mega stupid mistake. My intention was to produce an exact copy of my hard disk, I was going to make radical changes to the operating system and wanted an easy go back method. Like a fool I decided to clone my drive onto a USB external drive that already had data on it. Assuming that this data would be safeguarded. As you well know cloning completely removes other stuff on the drive (I also am now a much wiser individual). It would have been helpful if at least you had given a warning before this nasty event happened, there is also no mention in the minimalist reference/user manual.
As I said before a great product that I would recommend to people, after giving them a chat about the difference between backup and clone.
Now I am looking for a piece of software to restore my USB drive, any suggestions?
