Software is often accompanied by an MD5 'hash' (or 'checksum'). This serves as a unique identifier for the contents of the file - if the file contents change then so does the MD5 hash, making it easy to verify the integrity of files.
A brief description of MD5:
The algorithm takes as input a message of arbitrary length and produces as output a 128 bit (16 byte) "fingerprint" of the input (also known as a "message digest", "checksum" or "hash"). It is conjectured that it is computationally infeasible to produce two messages having the same message digest, or to produce any message having a given prespecified target message digest. The MD5 algorithm was designed by Ron Rivest.

Worked exactly as described, no problems installing or using it.
Dug me out of a little hole I had gotten myself into, lost the
password to a website I run, but no option on the site to reset
or remind me, could change it, but only after logging in.
Used this to generate a new password in the MD5 format the site used,
then log onto the database server and update the appropriate field
in the database with the new value.

I downloaded the program because I needed to convert an email address into MD5 code in order to get gravatars to work.
I have limited experience in editing website stylesheets etc, and I had no idea whatsoever what MD5 code was. I did a search on Google and found your product. I wasn't entirely sure whether your program would enable me to convert an email address, but the documentation accompanying the download stated that it was able to convert 'single lines'. So, I downloaded it and was pleased to find the interface to be simple and self explanatory.
Indeed inserting an email address and pressing 'convert' did produce the correct code and I'm pleased to say that the gravatar function is now working.

It does exactly what I downloaded it to do. It makes MD5 Hashes, with an easy to use no glitz or other bullshit interface. The only problem I can think of, is that when I later decide that I want to be able to compare hashes, or generate hashes other then MD5 that I will have to download another program. But if all you want is to make MD5 hashes, this program is perfect.

To keep track of many tray icons you may hide those that you don't need all the time. You can still access such hidden tray icons in the context menu of 12-Tray. It will also restore tray icons after a 'crash' or restart of the taskbar. Usually the taskbar comes up after a crash without any tray icons. You had to stop and restart all related programs to restore the tray icons. Now, 12-Tray will restore tray icons automatically.
