Windows Vista

A brilliant piece of software that works well. The only caveat I have is that it should include an option not to stretch all photos.

Good simple program that does it's job well.

Some remarks on the product:
- scale with keep aspect ratio
- show different images on multiscreen computers (like Picasa screensaver)
- on vista there are scrollbars on the configuration window

I'm running vista and this software didnt work for me as i expected.

there are some compatybility issues and furthermore it looks a bit old.

Could not uninstall it. Installator told me that program got uninstalled correctly but it were still there changing my w-papers after every restart.

Maybe on XP it would be working better.

Just got it, but it did what I wanted it to do right away. As long as it keeps working, I'm happy!

Don't bother clicking the "Support" link, it just opens an e-mail to support@coredownload.com which bounces (with error "550 550 (state 14)." if anyone cares).

Missing features:

- Ability to display an image as big as possible while still maintaining its correct aspect ratio

- Ability to use the "Windows" key as a modifier so I could have, e.g. "Windows+X" for "next image".

Decided to try wallpaperchanger.de instead.

I love this program... it would be nice if you were to incorporate a porportional stretch that would take one or the other dimension of the picture as appropriate to the comparative size of the screen and scale the picture accordingly. I have a few that look like people are short and fat.

It looked like a good program, but I was looking for one that supported multiple monitors and having a different background for each monitor.

Over the years I have used many wallpaper changers, none of which have so far worked properly for me with VISTA. Congrats to all with this one, it not only works well with Vista, but it works better than the others have worked with my other OS

Works great! Easy to use and familiarize with, I'd suggest it. Works MUCH better than the last program I tried.

This is a cool tool to chnage your dsktop daily.

The CoreDownload Wallpaper Changer offers a comprehensive range of features for livening up your desktop. Unfortunately I wanted a utility that would 'quietly' change my destop from a network-supplied standard image to plain screen on boot-up. The Wallpaper Changer with its splash screen and assumption that you wanted to create slide shows did not really meet this requirement, although it does provide a comprehensive range of features. I subsequently found Background Switcher (johnsadventures.com) to be a better solution for an unobtrusive wallpaper utility.

This is a great program and I'm glad that I was able to find it. For a long time I was unable to find a truly free program that had the abilities that I was looking for but your product came through and is working greatly. Highly recommended. Thanks.

This is a basic wallpaper changer, simple to setup, simple to use. Just what I was looking for...

I don't know if it was something with my installation or not, but, when I turned this program on, it accurately randomized my photos in the specified file, but it did not autofit the photos. The autofit option was grayed out, and I could not turn it on. My photos looked awful because they were not made to be stretched across a 22 inch screen. I went with Wallpaper Slideshow LT, another freeware app.

Exactly what I was looking for. Easy as bacon to set up and gives me a nice variety of my pictures to use as wallpaper.

It's easy to install and fairly simple to use. The control panel is a bit intimidating and not entirely user friendly.
But I'm enjoying it and seeing my pictures not only in screen savers but on my desktop as well!

Quiet program that's hassle and bother free just sits in your task tray and changes your wallpaper for you without nagging you or being too overt.

After installation the first review is positive with just oa couple of niggles.

Due to my personal screen size settings some of the Control Panel box does not aappear - i.e. only 50% of the 'OK' button. True there are sliders for horizontal & vertical movement. Niggle #1 - The Control Panel to be resizeable but isn't.

Niggle #2 : the splash screen. Personally never liked them

Very easy to use, but still has lots of features.

however it does make the laptop take a little longer to start up, but otherwise works easily in the background and is very non-intrusive.

I recently changed my vista desktop to look like a mac using rocket dock and windows blinds. But it still needed something else. So I went on google and came up on this fantastic program. I can add whatever pics I want, which bottom line is what I was looking for. However, I have just one minor complaint. I can't change any of the settings. It gives me an error message. But overall the program does what it is supposed to, and wonderfully I might add. So go make your desktop look better.

Hello, I downloaded this program because i liked to see my pictures and got bored with seeing the same desktop picture day in and day out. This saved me the hassle of going into my options every time I wanted to change the picture. Now I don't have to and it is running great! I haven't had any problems with it yet.

The only minor detail that I have notice so far was because not all of my pictures are the same size or quality, they may be stretched to much, but that is only for the lower quality pictures i have. If they had an option that would or could switch back and forth depending on the picture quality, that would be really kool.

Overall I would give it a 9 out of 10.

I'm very pleased about the Product. Worke OK in Vista 64.

1. could not set it to display the photos in a directory tree in random order.
2. the settings dialog would not "take" any changes giving me an error message on both "apply" and "ok".
3. would have prefered this over any other program that does a million other things that I could care less for. all I wanted and exactly and nothing else, only this - "display as background the photos in a directory tree in random order" just that.

Like many people I have a lot of photographs that would make great wallpaper, but I needed a way to change them. This program does that and makes the computer look interesting again.

Really is very cool, but you are missing 1 or 2 options for perfection. I would suggest to put a custom -appeareance for each wallpaper image, I mean. Maybe I got one image 1440x1200 and I want it fullscreen, so I put. Stretch to fit, but then I got an image that is 20x25 and it strecths to fit also and I don't want that I want it to be tiled, and I can't do that, all custom applies for all images. So I suggest to put an option to customize each of your images for best results. Another suggestion would be to. Try to make a type of changing wallpaper effect. I mean. Changing wallpaper every day. It's. Ok. You don't see the wallpaper changing too many times, but when I got one that changes every 5 seconds. It seems too. "dry". Meaningless. To see only images changing every 5 seconds. It would be AMAZING to have effects in changing images and customize time between effects too. I know. Too much resources. But when you got one computer like mine. Resources aren't important.

The program delivers as promised and I only missed the fit into screen option that also keeps the aspect ratio intact. That is the reason I didn't use this free tool. For all those people that have fixed size pictures for their desktop this is a very good solution.

It does what it is made to do. I like it. Works fine in Vista.

I have only used this site once but the wallpaper changer is easy to use it's free and it works perfectly with Vista.

The download did what was expected of it and works very well.

Great utility that his light on the system performance. I like that it is compatible with Vista as well as starting up automatically when I boot up my computer.

Intuitive and easy to use, which allows me to manage my large collection of wallpapers with ease.

I especially like the ability to change a wallpaper with a key binding.

All I wanted was a simple program to make changing desktops easier, and this was it.

Definitely a must get. I have wallpaper A.D.D. and this product was the perfect prescription.

Hi - in Vista, I could not access the menu system to customise so I un-installed.

This app does the things what it supposed to to and it does them well.

I really liked this program until I restarted my computer. I had to re-set all my settings all over again. I wasn't very impressed with this program but maybe with a little adjustments it could be a great program. Thanks!

Hi all.. I was looking for a small software for automatic wallpaper changing.. After searching and trying like a million softwares , i found this amazing software.. I just love it.. I am recommending this to everyone who's looking for a small but effective software to change the wallpaper automatically..
4.5 out of 5 stars.. I've reduced the half star, because i didn't find it directly.. Better advertisements and recommendations required..

Generally, I'm pleased with your software and it's features. The only problems I can see are quite long time of loading at startup (I'm using Vista Premium OS ) and the way it's fitting some of wallpapers on the screen. In some cases it's either cutting edges of images or stretching them with distorted proportions. It could be solved using "custom position" setting, but you need to set it individually for every image, while setting it as wallpaper using Windows control pannel doesn't deliver such problems. Maybe it needs improvement. Anyway, thank you for quite nice piece of free software.

A good overall progam however I wish you had a little bit more accesiblity to adjust the picture size.

Using Vista Home Premium, several of the features that I have tried do not work. Unfortunately, one of them is the help file. Still got all going with little hassle, as it is pretty intuitative. Another feature that does not seem to work is the selection of 'hot keys', to do various things, such as go to the next wallpaper, etc. These are likely not problems with the program, but problems with the Vista operating system. This is not the first program using Vista that I have run across that will not allow access to older help files.

Using this program makes using a computer a little more enjoyable. Recommended.

as above, could be quite a bit more however it has a bug which quite annoyed me, everytime windows starts up you need to reset the change wallpaper timer back to what you want it to be as it defaults to only change when windows starts. overall a very nice piece of software and I definately recommend it.
