Afinion Project-Viewer supports all currently used MS Project versions (Project 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2010) simultaneously. Shows also plans from Excel and SAP R/3 PS including WBS structure. Filters for most used selections are available and auto filters. Project-Viewer is running on Windows, Mac OSX, Linux, Solaris and Unix. Logo integration is available. It can store all activities which are assigned to a resource directly into the Outlook task folder of the resource. Afinion Project-Viewer can print the plan in formats A4 to A0, only limited by the available plotters and printers. In Project-Viewer you can define the timescale in a free manner, so you can view the tasks in an hour, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly base. Afinion Project-Viewer enables the user to choose the columns according to his individual needs. Afinion Project-Viewer is easy to install. Also novice users have no problems and only few efforts to see their tasks. Afinion Project-Viewer is also able to run in a server mode e.g. for Citrix. In this case the individual settings are stored for each employee. Standard languages English, Italian, Netherlands, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese. The SAP part uses SAMI 2.1 the certified interface for SAP. APV runs as a program or as a service defined during installation. Menu can be customised by administrator and can be protected so users cannot change configuration. Start screen can be changed for own needs. Afinion Project Viewer can be easily used with your software distribution especially interesting for company licenses. Trust and company licenses available. Ask for. Users cannot change data, so data are safe. Afinion Project Viewer shows all views and tables used by Project Manager. So viewer users see exactly the same as Project Manager. I downloaded you Vierwier for Linux which appears to be version 3.0.
It loaded OK and runs the example projects 100%, but when I try and view my Project files it does nothing, not even an error.
Am I missing something here ?

Version: 5.0The Linux version refused to start complaining that some required field (jnlp) is missing from the launch file. Windows version - I haven't tested in native Windows, but it refused to work under wine, unfortunately.

Version: 5.0The program is not showing in add remove programs after instalation, and is not uninstalled in a standard way.
This is not correct.
After calling the project-viewer.exe once more, you can select Uninstall and everything is removed.
This is Microsoft standard

For my purpose I wanted to get linux, Mac, and Windows users using a project program. For our needs OpenProj was a much better solution.

I would solve it by changing fonts used by application.
Please also add documentation how to run and install application for Unix systems.
There is also should be some installation application for Unix systems.

It crashed and I forgot to save the error log.

Thanks for the nice product, many different view options and nice UI.
I am not an experienced Micro$oft Project user, so it took longer than I wanted to learn to use your product, and experiment with the page previews (1x1, 1x2, 1xN)
I'd recommend it without reservation, even for those with full MProject, for it's size, speed and different view options.
